It's Monday! (3/2/15)

Monday again! March already. Soon spring fever will set in. The number one symptom for me is wanting to read all the books. There are so many great books coming out this month that I've been waiting so patiently for. Bring them on!

Last week I finished two memoirs from my TBR. Yay me! A Homemade Life is about a young woman who grows up to start a food blog. I wasn't fabulous, but Wizenberg is a good writer, and some of the recipes are intriguing.

Coming Clean was better than average. It's the story of Kimberly Miller growing up with two hoarder parents--back before there were shows on TV about it. She writes candidly about her relationship with her parents, and their relationship with stuff. It really is quite a poignant (not sappy) and well-done book.

When I finished Coming Clean, I began We Knew Mary Baker Eddy (vol. 1). This is a beautiful book in every way, physically and spiritually. I'm enjoying every word of it.

I'm also continuing with By the Book and Middlemarch on CD. I just read the interview with Anna Quindlen in By the Book, and once again I'm convinced we're literary soul mates. Middlemarch is coming along nicely, although I'm ready for Eliot to stop introducing new characters. There are so many balls in the air, I'm concerned something's going to drop.

We Knew Mary Baker Eddy is on the long side, so I'll likely be reading it all week. I'm not sure what my next read will be, but I'll likely try to finish By the Book when WKMBE is done.

What are you enjoying this week?
